3 month post op stall?

Recommended Posts

Howdy, I weigh in every Saturday, this is the first Saturday I havent lost between 3-5 lbs....kind of a bummer.....I only lost 1 lb.

Anyone have a stall around this time? My calorie counts are 1000-1300 mostly on the low end, I like to go up and down to keep my metabolism guessing. I could always exercise more from day one......just curious if anyone out there stalled at 3 months........

Any comments welcome.........

Have a great day!

Kim

i also stalled at 3 months.. just rode it out. there's no magic trick to help. Keep your Water and protien intake up and you exercise going and you will be fine.. Sometimes the body needs a rest, even tho were not losing lbs. we're losing inches.. Good luck

Stalls happen often after the first 3 week stall. For me, I think the pattern is stall a week lose for two weeks, repeat. Running for an hour every day for me seems to help the continual downward trend. The biggest positive I have noticed is the reduction in chest/stomach and legs. The scale is no longer a weekly need for me. I measure success based on how my clothes fit or how I feel or how I look in the mirror. Can now wear size 34/35 jeans and medium/large shirts. I seem to be 1/2 way between sizes which is a little odd. Just keep meeting and beating your Water, Protein, and exercise goals. Your stall will break. It is just a matter of time.

I'm in the midst of my stall. I was sleeved 10/25/12 and lost 99lbs before my 3 month checkup. I haven't lost a pound since. It's frustrating, but I know once it's over I'll drop another 15-20lbs quickly. So, we just have to be patient.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
