Shan1383 0 Posted February 9, 2013 I am getting nervous. I am also having second thoughts. My twin sister was sleeved yesterday. She had some complications and had to stay an extra day in the hospital. She was in a lot of pain, throwing up blood and very nauseous. I really want this. She showed me her incisions and one of them looks bigger than I thought it would be. The doctor told us he was only going to make three incisions and he made four on my sister. I think I will just have to suck it up and just do it. Hopefully my sister can come home tomorrow. I am also worried about the scars. Any advice on how to make them go away. ISleevedIt 380 Posted February 9, 2013 Hi Shan, I'm a Feb 21 sleever also. Hope your twin is feeling better and have a speedy recovery. I think in the ointment section at drug stores, there's ointments to help with scars. Oh, I think one of the bigger incisions is so that the doctor can remove the stomach they cut off. Shan1383 0 Posted February 9, 2013 Yeah. He came out where the family waits and showed me pictures of before, where he was cutting part of the stomach off, where he did the sleeve with the staples and where he did the leak test. He does it the same day. It was very interesting. I am just happy that she is more alert now. I can't wait for her to come home.
