lsycko1 9 Posted February 9, 2013 Has anyone tried it? They are made from eggs, ff cream cheese, and baking soda. 36 calories for 1 bun, 1.8 carbs?
flmama 105 Posted February 9, 2013 I make Cloud bread and use regular cream cheese and Cream of Tartar instead of baking soda. When I made it with FF version it didn't hold up as good and the additional calories/fat were very small and less carbs. It also tasted better. http://www.food.com/recipe/carb-free-cloud-bread-411501 This is the recipe I use. 43 cals, 2.8g fat, .3g carbs, less if you use liquid sweetener instead of powdered. Powdered Splenda has .92g carbs (basically 1) per packet. liquid has none. It's negligible spread out over the entire pan, but every little bit counts. flmama 105 Posted February 9, 2013 Kind of like King's Hawaiian Rolls. You can also add things to it to it to make it savory or sweet. I usually make several batches at once. I've made a batch with Italian seasoning, a little shredded parmesan and some garlic. I've also made it with cinnamon swirled into it. It's great toasted up with an egg and a little cheese on it for Breakfast.

flmama 105 Posted February 9, 2013 The trick is you can NOT eat them right away. You need to wrap them up and put them in a big ziploc bag in the fridge and let them sit overnight. If you eat them right away, they're awful...they are crumbly and hard. But if you leave them in the fridge overnight, they have a much softer texture and don't fall apart. donewithdieting 44 Posted February 9, 2013 I make these all the time. Holds up well to tuna fish, lunchmeat, Peanut Butter just great literally( ok --about .8) no carbs. If I take to work the fillling goes in a seperate container and made just before eating. 3 eggs (seperated) 1/4 tsp cream of tarter Whip egg whites and C.O.T. till peaks form. While they are whipping take the yolks and mix with three Tbls. of cottage cheese, and 1 pkt splenda. I just mash it with a fork. After they are whipped fold the yolk mixture gently into the whites. On a silpat make 6 mounds of egg fluff and spread out each to the size of a grapefruit. Bake 55min. at 300 degrees. Let cool. store in the refrig. in a plastic bag layered with paper towels between Buns. Thats it these are great
