revolutionaryass 0 Posted February 8, 2013 Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and I'm excited to be a part of it. I was 5 weeks postop on February 6. I've lost 30 pounds so far, but I've been stuck at 250 for about a week and a half. I'm trying not to get discouraged (or be irrational), but is it possible to hit a plateau so soon? Has anyone else experienced this?
skinnygirlinside 60 Posted February 8, 2013 Hello and welcome to the losers bench. I am only 9 days post op but have seen a lot of people hitting stalls even at 3 weeks post op. Seems to be a very normal thing. Congratulations on your 30 lbs loss! That's awesome. For what I gather,we hit stalls to allow our bodies to catch up with the weight loss we have had. Some say up ur calories a little or up ur Protein intake and this may jump start losing again. Good luck to you and great job.
revolutionaryass 0 Posted February 8, 2013 Thank you skinnygirlinside!! I hit my Protein goal everyday, so I'm thinking maybe up the activity? It's just been so cold and gross outside. No excuses!!!! Good luck to you on your journey!
mariamitani 405 Posted February 8, 2013 I stalled at 250 also it will pass be patient your body is adjusting. I was not getting enough calories in when I increased them or hit my daily mark of 800 It broke and I lost weight again. Also Water is very important , make sure you get all that in. Oh and I was constipated! If your not going get a laxative to help. Keep up the great work
