Nut up'd my calories/workout questions

Recommended Posts

I work out pretty much 5 days a week and weight train 2-3 times but im not lossing weight as fast as i would like, im actually losing very slowly if at all....so my nut. up'd my calories from 600 to 900 to see if that would help. So my questions is do i still need to take in 900 a day if i dont workout? sat and sun are usually family days and i dont want to take in that many but i dont want to keep jumping back and forth and really screw with my body.

The minimum for a woman without surgery is 1200 so I think you'll benefit at 900 a day without exercise. You don't want your body to stay in starvation mode. That's my logic anyway. I'm no nutritionist.

I find that switching up my caloric intake has helped me with my weight loss. The poster that talks about the 1200 calorie minimum has obviously not had surgery yet. I find I vary also from 600-800 calories and sometimes when I eat more I lose more too. I think you will be fine eating less on weekends and more when you work out. :)

3 months post op and I specifically said 1200 for someone who hasn't had the surgery. I get in 900-1000 a day without exercise and have lost 51 pounds in 3 months but everyone is different. Just find what works for you.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
