nope. too much sugar, its not the ideal snack. try to find low carb things to eat. Also, I tried some of that and I felt horrible. So - voice of experience. Went right through me if you know what I mean.

I would say no due to the sugar and care content. sugar free popsicles saved me and I still eat them.

I love ice cream. I know its not on the diet, but sometimes I have to give myself permission to have a little bit. The best advice I've received so far has been: eat the very best quality you can afford. You will only be able to eat a few bites, so splurge on the best. I personally LOVE Ben and Jerry's greek frozen yogurt. Yes, it is high in calories, but it also has over 6 grams of Protein per 1/2 cup. It has a ton of Calcium too. So its not completely empty calories. I can eat about 3 to 4 small spoonfulls, and I feel very satisfied.

This has 17 carbs and 12 sugar. That's a lot...for me it is anyway. I guess it depends on how far out you are to eat it or not. I will be 7 months on the 16th.

My food addiction of choice was sugary sweet chocolate food so I stay away from stuff like so I won't fall off the wagon. At some point I Will learn moderation in everything is ok but that point is not now.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
