Mastiff_mama 171 Posted February 7, 2013 Told my neurologist yesterday about my surgery. He was excited for me and excited about me getting plenty B12. I told him my doc required sublingual every day or a shot every 3 months. He said he was gknna write me a script to do my own injections. I can't read his writting, but I can make out 1000 and shot on the script....haven't filled it yet. Anyone inject themselves and how often? He says there's no down side to having too much b12, but huge down side to not enough....how's your b12 given?
Candyman 38 Posted February 7, 2013 I don't understand why you need the shots. You didn't get a bypass. I was doing mine sublingual once a day and my first blood tests had my B12 vary high. He cut my B12 to every other day.

My surgeon requires sublingual once a day or a shot every 3 months....for some reason my neurologist wrote a script so i could give myself shots ....just seemed weird he was that concerned. I see my surgeon Friday....I wasn't gonna fill, it until I talked to him
MinaT 669 Posted February 7, 2013 I used to be on shots. After surgery I did the sublingual B12 and I was told my b12 was too high and to take every other day too.
