Not exactly sure what you're trying to say here, but if you're 2 days post op and you want oatmeal or cream of wheat, I would say that's a bad idea.

I guess I would wonder why you are doing a pouch test at 4.5 months out?

I don't understand why any sleever, for that matter, would do a pouch test. As I understand it, it is designed for bypass patients who have stretched out their pouch a bit. Their pouch is made out of the fundus which is still part of the stretchy part of the stomach. Taking in liquids and other foods that quickly move through their pouch so it can shrink back a bit and they can feel more restriction.

Since our sleeves don't really stretch that much, in no way near what a bypass pouch does, we are not going to get the benefit of doing this. My guess is you are currently frustrated by a stall. Correct?

Just follow the guidelines laid out by your Dr and it will break. Don't drink before, during or immediately after eating, eat your lean Proteins first and exercise. When you exercise, don't just go through the motions ... get a sweat going.

The weight will come off if you follow these guidelines.

Yes super frustrated I've change workout routines I even use to have corn tortilla just like half and I stop and weight is not coming off! Wanted to be at 174 for valentines day or Atleast for my bday 2/19. I'm currently 185 changes to 186,187 and 185, I even walk more every night aside from Zumba and insanity.

Well ... stalls happen ... they are a necessary part of the journey. This is not going to happen according to your calendar, so pitch the scale. It measures weight, not fat, which is what I was looking to lose.

When you are doing Zumba, are you the sweatiest person in the room? If not, you should be. If you are, good job. Keep it up.

The weight will come off, trust me. It took a while to put it on and it will take a while to take it off.

Breathe.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
