Havnt lossed a pound in two wekks!

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow I will be 2 months post op band to sleeve. I have lost 43 pounds so far but the scale hasn't moved in two weeks.... WTF. I log ally food into my fitness pal and have a fit bit.. gym at least 3-4 times a week.

I noticed that I can eat more since surgery and it bothers me as the scale stalled. I have been eating between 800-950 calories a day. When I eat, I eat too much and don't feel so great but I feel like my mouth wants to taste more food....not good!

Day of surgery I was 271 and now 227 but I want to lose another 30 pounds at least. I was never hungry for the first few weeks after surgery but now I'm feeling hunger...Why?

Has anyone been down this same road?????? Thanks for sharing.

I"m right there with you. I've lost 4 pounds since 1/19.... so aggravated/depressed/mad :(

I'm 5 weeks out roughly - I get hungry now too.. but eating feels so gross... I eat about 800-900 cals a day too...

very much the same timing and all, I am 2 months out on next Monday.lost, 61 but had a few more to loose to get under 300, 2 1/2 week plateau shortly after raising Protein levels and adding raw veg's. I am trying to exercise and there is not any result of weight loss only.

I am waiting for this to blow over with out worrying that it may not be so much the same as any more.

no band, just the sleeve current.

I'm on my 5th week as well. I've been hovering around the same weight for about 8 days. Until today. I had to do some extra walking and got in an extra 1.5 miles.

Got home and I weighed 3/4 lbs less than when I went to work this morning. So maybe the extra exercise shook up my metabolism. I'll see what I weigh in the morning and see if the weight loss sticks.

Don't over analyze your plateau, just keep doing the right things and the weight will start falling again.

I still haven't really felt hunger, but my stomach gets pretty painful when I go too long without eating.

I haven't lost in 4 weeks. It's not a race. It's a new lifestyle. I know it's frustrating. I would think that 4 weeks of consuming 500-700 a day would result at something for me, but nope. It will happen eventually. Just keep on track and exercise.

Drink more Water - a lot more water. Also, add a 30 min. walk everyday to whatever you're doing now. Weigh yourself today, implement those two things for 2 weeks and evaluate the weight difference then. If that doesn't work, try something else.

I'm right there with you. 2 and a half months out and I actually GAINED 3lbs and I don't know why. I was eating okay and I even had started exercise and the scale wouldn't move. I've finally lost 2 of those pounds so its moving in the right direction but won't be happy until I see a loss. Hang in there it's very frustrating but eventually we'll get past It.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
