Anyone experience this on the pre-diet?

Recommended Posts

Thank you, Thank you, ......

I feel so much better now. Still have the taste thing in my mouth and throat. You are all SO supportive......I love coming on this thread every day......

I'm 1/2 way there and this pre-diet will be all over soon. I can't wait...

I have the nutrional seminar tomorrow night. This should be interesting. Do they give you lots of good information and recipies for the Post/recovery stages?

I wish you all a GREAT day...

I do really appreciate you ALL...

Ciao for now.

Happy Birthday Dorianna,

When I have a problem with my sinuses I get a bad taste in the back of my throat. I flush out my nose with saline spray which you can buy in any pharmacy over the counter.

I am pulling for you to get through the pre-op diet. I start in 2 days as well. Could you please forward me that recipe????

Hi Nancy,

Sorry I didn't respond back to you yesterday...

Woody sent me a recipie.... Here it is:

Cottage cheese (1/2 cup)

Yogurt (fat free, any flavour or even just plain fat free)

ice cubes

*** I use the magic bullet** and Volia!!! Much easier to get your cottege cheese in this way....

I really love it....

Good luck with your pre-diet.....I'm on day #6...I feel okay right now.

Tonight I have the nutrional seminar, so I'm looking forward to that too.

Have a great day.

Doriana

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
