Alabamasleever 58 Posted February 5, 2013 So, my surgery was 12/17. After a grueling stall, I have finally started losing again. As of this morning lost 39lbs since surgery, 49lbs total. While I have noticed my clothes getting looser, including my size 22 jeans, I have not tried on any new clothes...until tonight. I'm at Target with my 13 year old daughter and decided I would hesitantly try on size 18 jeans. I had already gave myself the pep talk to not be discouraged if/when they didn't fit, especially since they were Mossimo and in my previous shopping days, Mossimo was only made for twig b*****s! Anyway, so when I get the 18s zipped without having to suck in and hold my breath, I'm on top of the world. At this point, I could care less if these jeans cost $100, they are mine. Then my daughter (who wears those horrific skinny jeans) says, 'mom, those are too baggy, please take those off'. So....I try on the 16s and, oh yeah baby, I'm doing old school cabbage patch up in the Target dressing room. Perfect fit! I don't think I've ever bought a size 16 jean. If I remember correctly, I went from a 12 to 20 overnight after having my daughter. Ok, so here's the bummed part. I get home, so excited to tell my husband (who didn't want me to have surgery). I put the jeans on and strut out like I'm on a freaking catwalk! His response...'they're stretchy jeans, that doesn't really count'. Are you kidding me!? Doesn't count? Um, whatever, what a buzz kill! Yeah, guess who won't be touching this size 16 hiney for a while!

Yeah, I asked him to stretch them over his wide load, lol! Stretch or not, they aren't elastic waist, which is about all I've worn in years!
