Malexa03 18 Posted February 5, 2013 I have Capital Blue Cross in PA and my doctor's office submitted everything online today and they got instant approval with a March date. For some reason my insurance runs Feb 1st to January 31st. We never had a co-pay before, but now have a $3,000 co-pay. All things considered, it is still better than self pay in Mexico! Now I am completely freaking out. Just had some surgery last week for some girlie part issues and and I am still tender at the incision site and there were only two. Plus I am still a little dizzy and nauseous. The Sleeve is a much bigger surgery so I am feeling a little scared but keep thinking about the end result and how many hoops I have been jumping through since the Fall. Only thing left required by my doctor's office which is one support group meeting on Feb. 20th. I just can't believe it!!!
Deanne 22 Posted February 5, 2013 Since your surgery is in March you should be healed from your first surgery I would think. I went to a support group but I was the only one there... In fact all my classes I had to attend only consisted of 1 person..lol Me I never felt nauseous after my surgery. I had to buy suppositories for that but luckily haven't had to use them yet. Good Luck with your surgery, and think positive thoughts
mark! 449 Posted February 5, 2013 That's awesome! Congrats. I thought my insurance approved me quick, but dang, that's great. Mine was a bit more than yours when it comes to co-pays, but like you said, still less than Mexico. It's definitely been a long journey to just get here, from what I hear the nervousness and such we're experiencing is pretty normal, just keep the end picture in mind, think of the life we'll be getting back.
