Wow, Kelly, that comment near gave me an aneurism. I'd never dare dream of losing 100 pounds. Can't even fathom it. Apparently it really happens here. Wow. YOU go girl!

I have not lost 100 just 65 but I am planning on losing another 20; I am kinda content where I am for now. But, I know in the future I will want to lose more. I have scheduled a fill for August 16th thinking that I will be ready then. I am needing this time for my brain that keeps saying I am a fat cow to catch up with my body. I plan on posting a new picture of me soon. Chopped the hair off too!! You too will be here soon!!

Donali I love the pic! Bra and Boobs look great. Your a brave girl taking your own stitches out, good job. I've lanced and cleaned simple animal owies to save on vet bills but won't touch a humans. I'm glad to hear your incisions don't look quite so red today, hopefully with time all will heal beutifully.

Speaking Bra's, Mine are not fitting well, I'm shrinking and I can't stand it. That's the only place I didn't want to loss. Time to go shopping, Thanks for the web link but I think I'm going to have get fitted/sized.

Kelly, bathing suits on e-bay, great deals. I go for a least one size larger, gotta love spandex, size 10 wow.

Lisa, you have been everywhere.

Terry, An Endoscopy will answer all your questions, let us know what they see. My thoughts are with you.

I meant I'd have to lose 100# more to wear a 10. Actually, I think my bones without skin & muscle are size 12. I weighed 175 once for about 2 days (then started gaining again.) That put me in size 13/14 and in the hospital from malnutrition. My friends told me I looked too scrawny. If I got down to 18 and maintained, I'd be more than happy.

I don't know what's wrong. Well hell, yes I do... It's called, beer, Pina Coloda, ice cream, Cookies and baby ruth, with NO exercise.

Terry - lol :)

I sincerely hope your endoscopy reveals that all is well with your band, and that the stomach burning is something that can be easily treated, and then you can get your fill!

I am not so very brave about losing my band, but the truth is, it happened, and there was nothing I could do about it, and life must go on. I wept and bawled and screamed and cried, but it didn't change the outcome. Playing the "Grateful Game" really helps me put it all into perspective.

We have no control over events, but we have control over how we react to them. I'm just trying to exercise some control over what I can. :)

And so far there is still enough swelling going on that it hasn't been too difficult to stick with bandster portions for the most part. And staying distracted helps, too - like being on this board. :D

Thanks everybody for your support of my tasteless picture. Hopefully no one has been scarred for life... :D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
