My fitness pal question

Recommended Posts

Ok, I just signed up for my fitness pal, the ap on my phone. First of all, goal of 192g of carbs...huh? Anyway, how do I change my goals, calories, Protein, carbs to fit my needs? Also, it only shows me calories I've consumed for the day, how do I see all of it? Remember, I'm on my phone, not desktop.

Not sure about your phone capabilities, but I have an iPhone and could only change the food goal settings on my actual computer.

I could only change my calories intake on my phone,. go to the tab that shows the circle with the downward arrow , go to edit profile and then you can change your calorie goal, when you change that it also adjust how many carbs you should be eating, sugar ect.... note that I dont go by the carbs they are recomending way too many for me ... hope that helps

On the computer I was able to change the automatic distribution of calories to reflect the high Protein low carb settings I needed. Otherwise it wanted to keep changing the carb amounts to a higher amount. I'm 6 weeks out with a calorie limit of 800 aiming for 60-80 grams of protein, less than 40 of carbs.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
