I'm 8 weeks out and my legs have been aching horribly bad the last few days....any ideas on why or any suggestions on what to do to help?

It's usually only a problem in the first six weeks, but achy legs in the absence of another cause is a sign of DVT. A call to your doctor might not be a bad idea just to be on the safe side.

I've had achy legs for a long time but they usually only last for a few minutes but lately they last longer and today has been bad ...I didn't know if its because I haven't got all of my Protein or Water in the last few days..

dehydration. try to drink more and if you can't get more Water in you will need to supplement with some Gatorade.

My surgery was 5 months ago, and a few weeks ago I was getting severe leg aches/cramps. Sometimes it would even wake me up. Not sure if it was lack of Protein, Water or too much exercise, but the posts show great suggestions. Thanks everyone. From a newby!

Thank you, that really helps! I keep a journal and I am getting my minimum 60 grams but am trying to get more Protein, it's kinda hard. I drink Water all day but I also have 1-2 cans of diet pepsi too, I hope that is not hurting me. :)

I was having really painful aches in my upper calfs that I went to the er and checked with blood To see if I had a clot it tested negative but push for a ultrasound. My er guy didn't do it but my surgeon pushed for it stat. I was clear and my aches went away. But you can NEVER be too sure. You should go and check and not assume and self diagnose! Hope all goes well!!!
