What is the best airline

Size of seats and distance between myself and the row in front of me is very important... I go to seatguru.com before booking flight and put in the flight number and airline and it will tell me how big the seats are... if the seat is smaller than 18 inches, then I don't book since an 18 inch seat is the smallest I can squeeze into with the arms down!

I chose jet blue because the seats are large enough and they have lots of leg room compared so some other airlines. Also, they don't serve meals... and since I'm flying for surgery and can't eat a meal anyway, I don't care a bit about that missing perk!

I just flew Southwest from Indy to San Diego - very nice and very roomie (I'm 5'8" and no issues). Would definately fly them again.

That's a relief. I'm flying SW home and I'm 5'9 and extra wide.

When I went to Mexico, I flew United. When I was flying home, I upgraded to first class to be more comfortable. The best $75 I've ever spent...

Im US Airways... Anyone got the scoop on them??

Seat size will vary based on what aircraft your flight is on. Go to seatguru.com and put in your flight number and airline and they will tell you exactly what kind of plane you will be flying on, show you a seat map, tell you how wide the seats are and how far is between you and the seat in front of you.

I booked with Delta and bought 2 seats for me and 1 for my friend in Economy Plus. I could barely fit in seats 5 years ago when I was a good 70 lbs lighter. Oh well, at least this will be the last time!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
