noellegz1 5 Posted February 3, 2013 Hi everyone. I'm required to loose 10-20 lbs prior to meeting with the surgeon. I'm suppose to have an appt and I'm so worried I won't be able to Loose weight and it will delay my surgery date. Any advice? Should I just do a detox a month or a few week prior just to make sure? Any advice will help. Thanks!
Sadtosaygoodbye 256 Posted February 3, 2013 Have you had your meeting with your dietician? There is a simple formula to losing weight, you must expend more calories than you take in. Now if it were that easy I wouldn't be overweight myself . If possible I would start with your dietician, they have sooooooo much information and they can tailor a diet that works best for you. Good Luck
noellegz1 5 Posted February 3, 2013 For my insurance I'm not required to meet with a dietician :-/ I have to do 12 weeks of classes which are to prepare you for surgery and eating after surgery
Sadtosaygoodbye 256 Posted February 3, 2013 So who's teaching the classes to prepare you to eat after surgery? They can't provide you information on healthy eating for now?
