It took me three times of scrambling two eggs to realize that I could only eat one! Now my 10 year old says to me at every Breakfast "mum, you can only eat one egg"!

I did it last night. I made two. One got put back in the fridge and I ate it this morning so I didn't waste it but it was a silly thing to try to do.

Ok so I tried just one egg this morning and you are right...I only needed 1 egg. I ate another egg 2 hours later. I think what I will do is eat every 2-3 hours so I don't feel so hungry all the time. However, I will only eat very small portions each time. I think that might solve my hunger issues. I hope!!

Hi all....I was sleeved on 1/21/13. I'm feeling very frustrated right now. I feel like I can eat too much. I'm on the pureed food stage and for Breakfast I can eat 8oz of cream of wheat. For lunch I can eat 8oz of Soup and for dinner 8oz of retried Beans. I could def eat more if I wanted to. I'm ALWAYS hungry!!!!!!! I'm so disappointed with this surgery right now. Then I hear ppl say they can only eat 2oz of food and they are stuffed it makes me want to cry. It seems like an hour after I eat...I get hungry again. Has this happened to anyone else? I just don't understand it and I'm getting really depressed at this point :(

Talk to you physician. I felt NO hunger, I still don't. I do feel empty at times, I call it my NEW hunger....but that didn't start until about 14 months out. In the beginning, the first month, maybe two. I couldn't eat but about an eighth of a cup of anything at one sitting. At almost 3 years 1 cup of oatmeal is almost too much. They told us prior to surgery, we should never eat more than 1 cup. Eat 'under' your sleeve. Weigh and measure your food when you are home. Do you feel what some refer to as 'head hunger' or is it honest to goodness, I'm famished hunger with a growling tummy and all? Find a support group in your area and GO, you'll find it helpful, I'm sure!

At not quite three years, I've been able to eat 2 eggs for about a year. I've never been told by anyone that more than one egg is bad. In fact, Dr. Davidson's dietitian told us at the seminar that the egg is the 'perfect' Protein. I'm not sure why, but an egg or two is my fall back food when I need to get in additional protein.

Yes, eating every 2-3 hours is good for you metabolism, hunger and insulin levels. No food related crashes ever.

It's wierder for me...I am 4weeks post op and still on a soft foods diet. One day I'm full after 2-3 tbsp of food and the next i can easily eat 2 cups of food. In my case i think it's more of emotional eating. Also i don't pay enough attention to the signals to stop when I'm full. Working on eating slowly and attentively. Anyway I think you should talk to your doctor.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
