the best me 6 Posted November 12, 2006 Oy vey, there are lots of us. I feel like I'm doing enough to lose, slowly, but I'm not exercising regularly, and I'm not logging my food. So what feels like eatimg smaller portions of nutritious foods, is probably just fooling myself. Or I'd see better scale numbers, right? I should log my food! I should exercise! I have my consult Wed and a fill soon after that. I'm nervous I can't do this. I'm glad to see all of you out here. Thanks for posting.
MyKdsDad 1 Posted November 12, 2006 Keri, you sound like Joy. She does love her shakes and she certainly hates exercising. As she says, "OMG, I'm sweating!!!" You can do it!
Parvathi 2 Posted November 12, 2006 Hey keri, I completely understand what you're going through. When my band slipped, I was able to eat anything under the sun .. and did! I managed to pile on the kilos before the revision surgery, telling myself falsely that I should eat some of <insert evil food here> as it'd be the last time I'd have a chance to eat it. I've been down this path before so I know I was just lying to myself. I think when I wandered away from LBT was when things started going down hill for me, as I didn't have anyone I was accountable to... so here I am, jumping back in with both feet. If you need someone to hold your hand along the way, just yell out. We can do it

Keri, You're definately not alone in your struggles. This is the place I go to when I have to have those M&M's or want to burst out in tears when the scales don't show any change after what I feel was a "good" week. It helps me stay real and it gives me perspective. I say Celebrate that you have maintained. I know that I do. As much as I'd like to see more loss, I'm so very glad I'm not gaining. Fauxnaif 1 Posted November 13, 2006 It sounds like you are getting back on track. Good for you! For those psychological issues (and boy do I know about those), I suggest therapy or OA or extensive journalling. Don't suffer without a fill! Get one if you need it. You go! Teresita 0 Posted November 13, 2006 Well Keri you know you are not alone. We all need encouragement and a little push sometimes. I realized I have been playing in the 380's since July and it is time to MOVE FORWARD.
