I'm 6 weeks post-op and have had no complications. Does anyone know if I can start using an exercise bike?

I'm six weeks out. Was approved to exercise at two weeks. I have been riding an hour per day for four weeks with good results. Good luck and congrats!

I'm 7 weeks out and I've only lost 33 pounds. Would you mind telling me what your diet is like? I find that I can eat so much more than others. Probably about a cup of chili, 5oz of chicken, and other foods all in excess. How much food do you eat? You seem to have great weight loss results!

Isn't 7 weeks/33 lbs good? Was is the expected weight loss after 2 months?

I'm not really sure what the expected loss is, but by 8 weeks I was hoping to be down 40 pounds. I know these things take time, but maybe I'm just too impatient!

It's a myth that most sleevers can only eat 1 or 2 bites after surgery. Those are the stories we remember, but plenty of people can eat more like what you describe....I could, and I think I've lost a fair amount of weight. Just remember, you don't have to eat your sleeve's limit. Weigh those portions and stop there. You won't be full, but you won't be hungry and you'll lose weight just the same.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
