T'snewstart 251 Posted February 3, 2013 I am 13 weeks out... I just ate 2 oz of salmon and 1/4 piece of wheat thin bread and I am stuffed.... Does that sound about right..... I sure fill up fast.....
rdoactv 218 Posted February 3, 2013 I'm preop..but based on my mothers experience and other posters yes..especially with the bread. Bread tends to paste up or swell in your stomach and fill u fast. Most ppl avoid bread, tortillas ect for quite some time after surgery. Many have problems with it long term.
azquilter92 82 Posted February 3, 2013 You really should try to avoid bread, Pasta, and rice, they do tend to swell in your sleeve. Try and stick to good Protein sources, meat, fish, eggs, yogurt, then veggies, but it really depends what your surgeon has told you to do
suzthebrit 146 Posted February 3, 2013 Yep, I'm 11 weeks out and that's about all I can get in. One poached egg and half a slice if wheat toast is as much as I get down in one sitting. It's great!!!
