shelly77 20 Posted February 2, 2013 When will my hair stop falling out? Handfuls and handfuls...I was dealing with it ok but I thought it was supposed to stop at around 6 months. I'm past that and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'm getting depressed! I'm taking all my Vitamins, special shampoos...everything I know. My nurse practitioner gave me the phone number of a dermatologist that specializes in female Hair loss, but her website talks about how her medicines "may cause liver damage." When can I expect it to stop falling out and start growing back?

BKMama 179 Posted February 3, 2013 Yep, how is your Protein? You can take Vitamins, Biotin, etc but if your protein isn't where it needs to be you will have the Hair loss.
DeeBrownBaker 139 Posted February 3, 2013 I'm grateful that I'm not experiencing hair loss...but I am getting in at least 50-60 grams of Protein daily...
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted February 3, 2013 I have heard of Hair loss lasting until 9 months. Mine is still falling out, one hair at a time at 7 months. It was much worst month 3-6.
shelly77 20 Posted February 3, 2013 Thanks everyone. I guess I just have to be patient. I'm healthier than I was, even if my hair is falling out! I was afraid I'd lose it all, so it's good to know it will stop...one day! I just ordered some Isopure to help me get in all my Protein. I haven't tried them, so I'm hoping I like them. I struggle getting in all my protein bc I get so full! Thanks again!
