I agree with Laura, 2 is a good number and I, personally wouldn't have any more. If you don't stay right on top of them they can be messy little creatures but still a lot of fun.

Oh yeah messy I forgot about that!! Pigs absolute pigs! My fault really I did everything for them..

Teach her young to do it herself (sorry Venla the crazy lady loves you though)

Oh and I had my son when my daughter was six..

Don't wait that long she still has only child syndrome!! :P

The funny part is everyone says two!!

I was asking my friends who don't have kids how many they want. Every time they come over they inquire about all our baby stuff. Apparently they are going to try. Anyhow they said they want two kids for REPLACEMENT VALUE!! Haha when they die, they need to know that two smart people are replacing them. Lol!!!

Two seems to be average!!! Not sure about it!

I guess I freak out because we were naturally pregnant with triplets when Venla was born. I don't know how I could handle twins or triplets if we tried for a second, and received more. Could you imagine? Talk about Hair loss and sleepless nights!!!!

Shrugs.

Friends of mine have a three year old and newborn twins and are managing pretty well with a lot of family help. I would be pulling my own hair out :) Two is good so they always have a sparing partner... I mean buddie :P

I have nearly-Irish twins. At 1st, I didn't want any kids. I had my 1st & adored him & didn't want anymore, but my ex-husband was an only child so he felt it was important to have one more. So we did, & then I wanted a 3rd. The only reason we didn't was bc of 9/11, actually. Then we ended up divorced. My current mister wants one & I'm not really opposed, but it'll be a timing issue. My kids are already teenagers & my bf is 38 this year, but that's a big reason why I got the surgery.

Also...I'm a cleaning ocd freak. But...We call my kids' room "ground zero" if that tells you anything. They annoy me with it.

I have not had a leak but my revision was done as an emergency and unexpected. I also had some emotional issues and a little depression but that is to be expected when your health takes a turn. Anesthesia also causes emotional instability. My revision was my third surgery in four months and I was so weak and lethargic. It seems like it is never going to end but then one day you wake up and feel good. I haven't gone through the ordeal you have but losing control of our health and choices is very hard and you will get stronger in time. Don't give into this moment in your life and keep pushing on. Good luck

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
