I'm glad to hear you've been cardiac cleared!! Yeay! That's such a positive step alone. :)

My son has a gf... It's weird. Lol but he's almost 15, so... His younger brother on the other hand...NO desire to discuss girls at all. He's happy designing YouTube videos or chatting on skype about bronies. Oiy. Lol

Hi,

Thank you so much!! I have no idea what to do. 50/50 just isn't a great number. Not like 70/30 because this would be obvious to avoid any surgical procedure. So confusing.

Thank you for thinking of me!! I hope things are going smoothly for you!

Best,

Sannah

Hi Sannah,

Been watching your story every day to watch how you progress, and I'm in wonder and awe of your strength! I can't imagine how you must feel...it does make you wonder how much we can take, but it also shows your incredible resiliance! You should feel so proud of your progress and ability to hold it together through this! I'm so glad your leak is healed, your cardiac status is improved, and you are on the road to wellness. I don't know what I would do about those stones, either, but my guess is that it will become apparent to you as time progresses. Then you'll be able to make a decision you are comfortable with. I hadn't heard of a health coach either, but what a great idea! Having someone help you understand what is happening and the implications of your decisions could really help provide some peace of mind.

Wishing you a speedy recovery - you are almost there! And you are SO going to love it :)

Hi Laura,

How are you doing? Nerves mellowed out after less teens?!? Sweet rear!!!

I had a great talk with my health coach and she is great. It's nice to think things out and talk about all this stuff.

I have decided that i am going to ride this out at home. 50/50 is not a great número!! But ultimately I just can't bring myself to submit to surgery at the moment. I will make it through these painful stones. I have some guidelines that will steer me in this process. If things get too tough I will seek surgery on an emergent basis.

But I can't go have surgery unless I am dying. I can take narcotics and so this. I have endured a lot of pain and tolerance is growing.

How are you doing? Any news?

Best,

Sannah

Hi Sannah,

This weekend was crazy! My daughter went off the deep end! But we are better today:)

Im glad your talk went well. It seems like your pain is being managed pretty well, so I understand your decision.

Oh and the doctor told me the scan was inconclusive and sent the findings to another doctor that I'm supposed to call for MORE tests!

I'm just so not in the mood so I haven't called yet. But I will at some point .

Yeah Sannah,

Sometimes I hate the medical field!! But I'm sure you understated that!

At any rate we have so many doctor appointments for the family this week I don't want to even think about it until after spring break!

And my daughter is on her best behavior now.

Hehe she's trying to earn her iPod and bedroom door back :P

LOL!! I LOVE that you took her door off! I've been so tempted to do it myself! Way to go Mama!

Sorry for the brief hijacking :)

Haha!! You ladies are so funny!! I can't believe you took her door off!! So funny, but doesn't sound like fun!!

Oh man!!! It's rough being a Mama. You two are showing me what may come ( or is coming). Yikes!!

Maybe having one is a good idea.

We've been trying to decide if we want more kids. How do you figure this out!?!

Do your kids keep tidy?! I am a huge freak a out cleanliness. I have to have things done and in order. All horizontal surfaces need to be free and clear.

Are things better Laura?!

I tell you one thing she has been an angle since we took that door away! Hehe teach her to slam it again!! :o

It all stemmed from a nose piercing... I LET her go get a regular nose piercing but when she asked a couple of months ago about also piercing her nose through the middle (like a cow)

I said absolutely not! Well she pierced it herself

(Ouch) and hid it from us for about a month!

I'm happy to say its out now ( had to tackle her first) and she's being a very good girl :)

I'm feeling pretty good I was running errands today. My son has colonial day at school on Friday and I will be there instructing and helping the kids make corn husk dolls..

As far as children I alway thought I would have just one, but I'm very happy we had two, but no more!!! no way!!! Twos good

How are you today?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
