Ok so I was up all night with a teething baby and I have to work today. I remember that I have a Starbucks gift card, so I look online for nutritional values, and decide to get a skinny iced vanilla latte. I order, get my coffee, and leave. Then I realized I used my debit card :/

I hope you enjoyed the latte! My favorite over the holidays was the skinny peppermint mocha. I sometimes have 1 latte a week, but sometimes it is more like 1 every 2 weeks. I make cappuccinos or regular cup of coffee at home with my Verismo almost every day. I do not think I could give up coffee just because I like it so much!

Lol... Well thats better than them screwing up and giving you a regular full fat one! I guess you will be going back to Starbucks again... How was the drink? Sounds good!

The coffee was delish and definitely woke me up! How is the Verismo? Does it just make Cappuccino? My hubby makes coffee at home and he needs a new coffee maker.

I've been a faithful Starbucks customer for years, almost daily. Haven't had Starbucks since sleeved. Another sacrifice for the cause I guess...

Verismo is the best purchase I made post op at $199 as it is really easy to make cappachinos, regular coffee and expresses. Literally two button presses. I love it! I could never be patient enough to make lattes with the older SB latte machine that my wife got 5-8 years ago. Too much skill required! Lol.

One suggestion I have is to also buy a good quality frother for the milk as you will save money by not buying the milk pods and will also make a much better cappuccino then using the built in milk frothing function of the verismo. SB also does not sell non fat milk pods to use with the Verismo (why?!?!). That is the main reason I spent about $50 on a frother off of Amazon.< /p>

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
