Recommended Posts

Hi I have lupus and have a hard time working out bc of joint pain. Therefore I am unable to do strenuous exercise. I'm 7 months post op and stopped losing weight.

I'm not really sure about lupus or what you can and can't do but my advice is to hit the Water. A lot of gyms offer aqua aerobics which is good exercise, it's fun, and it doesn't put stress on joints. Or you could just swim laps

I agree try Water. I have fibromyalgia and somedays that is all I can do, and I think it helps with my pain.

I have RA and OA. I am 6 weeks out and also undergoing PT and steroid injections for degenerative disc disease in my lumbar area. I agree if you can do weight resistance excise in a pool it will work well for you. Also I bought a recumbent bike for riding at home and also use it at the gym. It eliminates the pain inknees and feet that walking can stir up. My rheumy stopped me from walking an hour a day due to the pain I started havingninknees especially and feet.
