katie kaboom 10 Posted February 2, 2013 I was heaving and nauseus the day before and day of my two week follow up wasnt sure why i knew it wasnt from a new food or med, so they gave me a prescription that helped a lot. Then today (yesterday was my two week follow up) i woke up with a 100 degree fever and killer sore throat. So i would recommend just be cautious it is flu season after all and some of the flu symptoms mimic a leak stay in contact with your doctor.
Punkin 21 Posted February 2, 2013 . So i would recommend just be cautious it is flu season after all and some of the flu symptoms mimic a leak stay in contact with your doctor. I am scheduled to be sleeved Feb 12 and I am so FREAKED out about getting the flu!! I have to imagine THAT would not be fun...(and I don't want my surgery postponed) Yeah, Chubarella I would totally call your Dr.
katie kaboom 10 Posted February 2, 2013 I know what you mean, I felt a little fluish before my surgery but went through with it anyway. (Started feeling ok when they put in my iv) I ended up with a nasty chest cold or bronchitis or something the day after surgery so I was coughing an awful lot like with every other breath, with the fresh incisions it was miserable. I would recommend getting a lot of Vitamins and be pro active avoid anything or anyone that might get you sick! Take some emergen-c. take care of yourself and good luck. Punkin 21 Posted February 2, 2013 I've been taking Zicam several times a day as a precaution.

NicholeRain 1 Posted April 2, 2013 I am almost a month post op and still when I eat something non liquid I vomit. I am on pureed foods, but they do not stay down. I told my dr, and he said drink slower, but this is something happening without drinking. If it is not normal, then what is it? I know 'call my doctor' let us know that this part is understood, can anyone give me any additional advice as to the possible implications of vomiting post sleeve, off medications? ashes304 16 Posted April 2, 2013 I am also a month out and just recently stopped vomiting with everything that entered me. I have called my doctor multiple times and he doesn't seem to care. He told me that what I am doing doesn't come from the surgery so it has to be something else and I should come in for a cat scan... Ugh NO
