Amie 90 Posted January 31, 2013 I've been trying to get motivated to go workout but I'm on day 3 of my 3 week skim milk pre-op diet and I'm just really tired and I'm affraid I'm not taking in enough calories to keep me going if I go workout. I was just wondering if anyone else has this same problem.
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted January 31, 2013 I didn't ... I was in no shape to work out at my weight with my high blood pressure and aching body. I saved that for two months after surgery. After surgery I just walked my heart out and boy my legs hurt!! They didn't recognize what I was doing to them!

No game 14,437 Posted January 31, 2013 Workout?? Pre op diet? Oh heck no! The only workout I did was flapping my lips lamenting on how tired and hungry I was!

keldolbeth 262 Posted January 31, 2013 I did but I wasn't on a skim milk diet. I was on a partly liquid diet provided by my doctor. It was only 500 calories a day. After probably 10 days I went to the gym one night and felt light headed and dizzy. I came home immediately and threw up. I called my NUT who talked to the doctor and told me not to work out again until surgery. I clearly was not taking in enough calories to support it.
Amie 90 Posted January 31, 2013 Well I went to the gym did 10 mins on the elliptical and felt like I could have done more but had alreay burned 110 calories so decided to stop. I also did a few weights. I feel hungry but didn't get lite headed. So I'm happy about that.

SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted February 1, 2013 I'm on 800 calories a day for 12 weeks prior to my actual "preop". For me, no, I haven't worked out. I work on my feet all day and I do some light walking ( about 30-45 minutes at 2.7 MPH)
