i feel blessed to have such a caring physician and then to have one that only charges $200 for fill with fluro. when i read about folks that are being charged up to $700 in some places.

Stacey,

I live in the Dallas area and will probably be going to Dr. Eijsink as well. I can't work out a flight schedule without staying overnight in San Antonio, to get back to Dr. Rodriguez. I think it is only about a 3 to 3.5 hr drive for me, so that won't be too bad. I have heard a lot of good things about her and her husband.

Do you feel any different after the fill?

Did you know that there is a wonderful fill doctor in Dallas that will see people who were banded in Mexico? His name is Dr. Maese. I love him so much! If you are interested I will be happy to give you the specifics. He only charges about $200 - $250.

Hello,

I am wondering where Dr. Stephanie's office is located? Can you give me more details please. Like would I fly to Dallas and then drive to Bryan, Tx. or do they have an airport, if so, what is the zipcode there. Does she come to Louisiana at all? Sorry about the many questions. Just need more info, please. Thanks so much,

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows are has a car group going to Dr. Stephanie. Or does anyone travel together? I live in southern Louisiana. Or is anyone from southern Louisana that has been to her. I would appreciate any feed back. (Also do you feel better after having a fill done under flouro v blind fills?)

Hello,

I am replying to your inquiry about Dr. Stephanie and fills. Believe it or not, I just got an email today (10-03-2007) about your request. I see that you made this request back in (May of 2006) So I am sure that you have had a fill by now.

I too live in South Louisiana and travel to Dr. Stephanies for my fills. I am scheduled for my second fill this Saturday. I probably will need another one in about 6 to 8 weeks, so If you are still interested in traveling with me, :) just email me and let me know.

Thanks so much, best wishes, and God Bless!

Hi, How are you, I actually wrote that email yesterday. Where in the south do you live? I live in on the westbank........How long is the drive? When did you go last? Did you go alone? Or did you fly? Did you make a day of it or did you spend the night? I am sorry about so many questions, I am just excited to here from someone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
