MrsGina 101 Posted January 31, 2013 Surgery was 7 days ago, I haven't had any pain killers all day, but every time I sit or lay down I fall asleep. A really deep sleep. I haven't seen any posts about anyone else doing this. It's kinda worrying me.
Takingcontrol 467 Posted January 31, 2013 Yes, it's normal! I slept a lot first couple of weeks after surgery!
lilbearzmom 584 Posted January 31, 2013 I absolutely could not stay awake while in the hospital. I would have my little cup of Water the day after surgery sipping from it, and wake up with it spilled on me. My mom came to the hospital three days and all she did is watch me sleep. Not sure if it was a reaction to the anesthesia or if I was just really tired. LOL -Kendra
VSGKirk 855 Posted January 31, 2013 I think it's normal - I slept alot too. I'm 4 weeks post-op and still have to take a little catnap when I get home from work.

mwayland 3 Posted January 31, 2013 Our bodies went through major surgery and sleep helps use to recover. So no worries. Get well soon!
MrsGina 101 Posted January 31, 2013 Thank you all so much, I was really worrying. Plus I tried creamy Tomato Soup today and felt like I was carrying around a bowling ball. I would like to only deal with one issue at a time. Lol
