joesiron7 9 Posted June 16, 2014 Hey Jenn what type of exercise are you doing to lose weight! I have been walking on top of my diet plan. I have to do six month supervised diet, so I'm guessing you do not have the medical card?
jenngottaloseit 89 Posted June 16, 2014 no i have blue cross clue shield of illinois, i looked up exercise on youtube, search "exercise for obese beginners" there is a whole series of exercise that starts out slow and builds up. Now i use the strongest resistance bands i could find, during the whole workout, i do that for an hour then i do 4-5 sets of lifting weights (arms, lat pull downs, and leg lifts) i have a weight bench at home. and i walk on my gazelle glider. NevadaDave 66 Posted June 17, 2014 Today I hit my goal that I set at the beginning of the journey. From 511 Lbs. to 220 Lbs. , 290 Lbs. lost in a year and four months. It hasn't ben easy, but it wasn't all that hard. I had no problems with the surgery (what so ever) and feel pretty good. Over the year I have vomited about 6 time learning what I can and can not eat, and not because I have eaten to much. I consider that the surgery is just the first step. I consider my continuing attendance at my doctors support group just as important . When you start this process you do it to loose weight, but what you are really saying is that I want to be a different person. If you have the surgery and remain the same person you are headed for trouble. This is not easy for you, and the people around you. The surgeon can work on your body but you have to work on your brain. It is much easier for the body to loose weight than it is for the brain to loose weight (the things that got us into trouble to begin with) . So do what ever it takes to get you brain on program, support groups, counseling, or what ever. Remember you have to push yourself to do thing you never thought you could, this is all in line with the process of becoming a new person. I wanted to post for the new people to let them know this works if you do your part to work on you mind and emotions. I am still loosing weight, so I am adding a small stretch goal of another 10 pounds, I want the bragging rights of saying that I lost 300 Lbs. PS. For you new people visualize your self writing this post in the future "I Hit My Goal" Hit my first stretch goal of loosing 300 Lbs. today I have lost 303 Lbs. Next stretch goal is 199.99 Lbs. I want to be in One-derland. One-derland. I am now under 200 pounds, I didn't think it was possible but I made it. 1 GoldnGirl6677 reacted to this
