kcinpa 159 Posted February 19, 2013 I was 475lbs preop, on the day of surgery 1/28 I had gotten down to 450lbs. My last check up was on 2/15 and I was at 416lbs.my goal is 200-220lbs, but even with the amount I have lost already I feel so great. I look forward to losing more!! I had some ups and downs right after the surgery wondering if I had made the right choice or not, but as time goes on I am positive I have made the right choice. 2 FRED1977 and MystiGal reacted to this
AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted February 19, 2013 I love this thread. I'm pushing 400 lbs and started 2nd guessing my choice for the sleeve. I'm going to Mexico next month. I'm happy to see so many higher lb/BMI people doing so well. It gives me hope. Geminidrive 389 Posted February 19, 2013 I had the surgery on 10/8, I was 398 today I am 328, down 70lbs and counting. I have not had any problems thus far, it has been a breeze, no pain, no gas, no mood changes. I hope to continue to work toward my goal weight. I would suggest that you carefully compare Sleeve vs. Bypass. Good Luck! 1 FRED1977 reacted to this
Pinkeye 53 Posted February 20, 2013 Hey, when I decided to do weight loss surgery I weighed 442 pounds, my first visit with Dr. Korn I weighed 435 on February 25, 2012. My insurance required a six month supervised diet, at the end of that and the day of the surgery date of August 16, 2012 I weighed 370 Pounds. Today February 19, 2013 I weighed 235 pounds for a loss of 200 pounds since I started with Dr. Korn 135 pound since surgery and an overall loss of 207 pounds! I feel great! My goal was 220 pounds but the doctor thinks 202. I am starting to think he is right! 7 Dee White, MAJIQUE, The Data Doctor and 4 others reacted to this

phatdivabbw 86 Posted February 25, 2013 My starting weight was 448. I am 9 months post-op and have lost 118lbs. I reached 100lbs lost at 6mths. My weight loss is slowing down but I know I'm the blame. Most importantly you have to make yourself accountable to make it happen. Just like many of us we turn to the forums for guidance support and help when things are going wrong (my first time here in months) I will do better with staying active to help those who are on my same journey. 1 mschina415 reacted to this

graylola 78 Posted March 29, 2013 Everyone in this thread is amazing, those that have been so successful and those who are brave enough to take this step towards similar success. It gives me so much hope for how happy I'm going to be by this time next year. I still may not be a "normal" size, but I will be on my way. I'll be closer to normal than be been in a long time, and that's awesome.
tdguill 11 Posted March 29, 2013 I started my pre op diet at 421. The day of surgery (3.18.13) I was 401. Yesterday at the dr office I was 384. It seems to be working for me. THe only complaint that I have is that I still take quite a bit of medication and it keeps me nauseous. I was told today that I could have some split pea Soup with the medication, to see if it helps with the nausea.
