3 weeks today - and supposed to get 60 grams in a day - tough going since I'm trying to "eat" soft foods in addition to my shakes!

I get about 60, but sometimes struggle with that much. How do you get 100 in a day?

A start real early in the morning lol .. Wake up around 6 . Drink my Premier Protein which has 30 grams . Go to the gym drink another shake . And dinner time drink another one. In between I eat refried Beans and eggs or other soft foods. It's hard u have to constantly be drinking all day either Water or protein!

Yes it is hard to get it all in. I wish I could still drink Protein shakes...I have a hard time drinking them lately. Keep up the great work!

I get about 70-80 grams a day. 60 is from premier protien drinks (two of them), at least 10 grams a day from Greek yogurt and the rest from a combo of eggs, beans, Peanut Butter and cheese depending on the day. Tomorrow I'm trying chicken for the first time, wish me luck! Btw, I was sleeved Jan/5.

I'm making the chicken in a basil/parmasean dressing. Last night I made carrots in olive oil and dill but they were still not soft enough so I through those (already mashedish) with the chicken. I'm going to blend it up when I I want to eat it with a laughing cow wedge (heat it up) and eat it like a cheesy hot dip with a product I found that are baby food rusk crackers that only have 15 calories for 2 and they basically dissolve in your mouth. They add a good crunch to the puréed food. I've aten two with blended chilli and with hummus and it was great!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
