That, my dear, is not a very nice way to talk to someone.

She is new and scared give her a break from the rude comments

That wasn't rude.

Bless your heart.

It was condescending. As was your above quoted response. Gotta love passive aggression...

What is a stomophy X. Never heard of it. Just tried to Google it' date=' but nothing came up. Nevertheless, I wouldn't let this "nut" do one more thing with my body. Go to a reputatble surgeon who has proven track record for performing surgery and get a second opinion. It should be fairly easy to determine whether the surgery was done at all, or done incorrectly. If you find out that the surgery was done incorrectly make you next stop to a good attorney; then call AETNA and get them all the information they need e.g. second opinion information so they can go after him too and, work with you to get this straightened out. IJS... I live in MD and I had my surgery performed at Wash Hospital Center, not my preference but that's where my doc's practice is. His name is Dr. Brebbia. The general office staff left a lot to be desired, but the physician's group and nutritionist were very knowledgeable and methodical about their business. They very definitely took their business seriously. The have a whole group of physician's associated with their practice with different specialities. You are in NoVa, so it's a thought. Good luck, be patient, but be persistent.[/quote']

My surgeon is Dr. Brebbia and I agree that his group was/is meticulous, dedicated, and very knowledgable. I questioned every step before surgery that they made and still question each step after.

That's what you have to do. And I agree being in NoVa, its a thought/suggestion. May God be with on your Quest for answers. Be dedicated. Be determined. Keep the Faith.

Please please tell me again who this surgeon is who botched these two ladies sleeve surgeries? I'm just paying my 750 down payment Thursday and I'm having it done with Dr. Cabrera in TJ Mexico at the MiDoctor. I'm getting freaked out' date=' I'm a single mom of 3 great kids, I'm all they have I need to pick a reputable surgeon. Not like we all don't have too, I've never done anything for me before. I turn 50 this year and my oldest son is getting married.[/quote']

Be careful I asked that question being concerned and scared because I'm in beginning stages also and that's how it started I feel like I can't even go here to asked question because everyone assumed I was saying thinking she was lying only because at first I couldn't understand why she wouldn't tell who her surgeon was big mistake coming in here now I'm afraid to go get the surgery this was also my only support

Hi. I am new. I am three months in toward my 6 month required pre-op appointments. I have been looking forward to this board helping by not only providing information, but support. However, I am really surprised by all the nasty comments. Is this how it always is? I have seen it on several other topics as well. Now I am sure that some people are grumpy without food, but I am just so blown away at some of the responses from people. It does not make me feel encouraged if I have a question in the future.

I'm sorry you feel you've been victimized.

Wasn't it you who posted

"IF they are telling the truth, why won't they name their surgeon?"?

That may not be verbatim, but, I also got the impression that you were calling the poster a liar.

Heck, it might not have even been you. I'm just going on memory here.

Maybe I'm getting two people mixed up.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
