Lisa22465 23 Posted January 29, 2013 I was sleeved on Jan 17 and I went back to work yesterday. I am exhausted. I just wanted to offer some advice to those of you who have yet had surgery- take as much time off of work as you can. I haven't been in any pain and everything is going fine but the littlest thing wears me out- like taking a shower. If I could change the amount of work I took off of work I would. Good luck to all of you. 1 annabelle reacted to this

Good luck to all of you. That's exactly what I was worried about too. I'am taking 2 weeks off and I work in the ER. Why don't you go back to your Dr. Office to get more time off? Good luck 1 annabelle reacted to this

delta_girl 931 Posted January 29, 2013 Sorry to hear that you are so tired and feeling weak during your recovery. I was back at work 5 days after surgery, but my surgeon was very adamant that I immediately got back to a regular routine to hasten healing and adapting. Not everyone needs much time after this surgery to resume a normal life. It depends on your surgeon and his/her recommendations and your own health needs. I was getting around fairly normally 5 days after with some soreness, but was generally feeling extremely energetic.
