LindsayRN 17 Posted January 29, 2013 My husband commented a few day ago about my stellar breath and told him I'm trying to get to of it, but it keeps coming back! I'm only 7 days post op so still full liquid diet.< /p> Well tonight he kissed me and gave me that oh god face and I stated laughing and said "it's ketosis breath" and he said " oh honey who told you that? That's halitosis"! Lmao!!!!
amitch17 17 Posted January 29, 2013 Mine just smells like nail polish remover when I'm in ketosis.
Traci J. 207 Posted January 29, 2013 I used my ketosis breath as a weapon; when my husband was being a smartass I'd threaten to breath on him. LMAO
JuliannaJ 83 Posted January 29, 2013 Mine stinks too! I miss gum, but at least breath mints and brushing my teeth like 5 times a day helps a little.
TalibahT 0 Posted January 29, 2013 Can someone expand on what your talking about...My surgery date is April 3, I have gone through all the testing, the nutrition class, etc. I have the pre-op medical meeting left to do but as of yet I haven't heard anyone mention ketosis breath!! arthritis_me 12 Posted January 29, 2013 http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/lowcarbliving/a/Is-Your-Low-Carb-Diet-Giving-You-Bad-Breath.htm That pretty much describes it. i use those film mints that just melt on your tongue. They're pretty strong and keep a fresh taste for a while. Ketosis breath is good, just a rather unfortunate sort of signal your burning fat.
amitch17 17 Posted January 29, 2013 Not sure if you can add chlorophyll to your Water (don't see why not) but that always helped me. Also makes b.o go away and just deodorizes from the inside out.
