SlenderAmy 1 Posted March 14, 2013 It is good to hear your solution to returning to your normal weight loss. I am now 8 weeks post op and have lost a total of 50 lbs. I have a job that can be very high stress, long 12 hour days, requires flying every week, and eating out for every meal during the work week. I carry a 32 oz water bottle with me to work every day and try to drink two of them a day. I also workout 30 minutes 6 out of the 7 days per week. I have tried to make my three meals a day at least 20 grams of Protein per meal. I have noticed that my weight loss has slowed way down and I am starting to becoming frustrated. I think that maybe if I increase my Water intake along with protein intake maybe I can speed up my weight loss. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any recommendations? MPrado 19 Posted March 15, 2013 Very encouraging. I'm almost at 4 months and down almost 50 pounds. The last several weeks have been at stand still. I have a hard time getting my Protein and Water in. This has encouraged me to really work at it. I also have a hard time with sweets (ie' date=' chocolate, carbs) they do not seem to bother me. I need to work on leaving them alone. I was hoping they wouldn't sound good to me after surgery but's one thing I can tolerate pretty well...to my surprise. There are a lot of things I can't. Thanks for sharing your progress.[/quote'] Your story sounds familiar to me. I was sleeved Nov 6 and am just under 50 lb weightloss, thanks to a 2 lb gain! I am unfortunately able to handle sweets. Please let me know if you have any ideas for curbing a sweet tooth. I have been really good, but allow a bite here and there. Thanks for sharing!!

kputman09 39 Posted April 18, 2013 Going to have to try this!! I'm 3 weeks postop today and I have been in a stall for a week up until this morning showed 1lb lost. I get about 55grams of Protein a day and about 60oz of Water. Also been on and off my period the past week so I'm blaming that also:/ so frustrating! I've lost 35lbs as of this morning since preop diet 5 weeks ago! I have a lot to lose so I'm hoping this works!
Smashley 3 Posted June 1, 2013 I too am very frustrated! I had surgery 11 days ago and am only down 8 pounds. I have been the same weight for 5 days! Help!!
TES 858 Posted June 2, 2013 I am down 51 lbs in 9 weeks. I'm not complaining, but I know other people have lost a lot more. That's actually a lot faster than most people lose! 1 deedeemuffin reacted to this
deedeemuffin 346 Posted June 3, 2013 That's actually a lot faster than most people lose! You are right. 51 lbs in 9 weeks was pretty quick. I am now 6 months out & down 101 lbs. I recently saw a post from a woman who has the same amount of weight to lose as I do & she lost her first 100 lbs in 4 months. I felt jealous for a brief second. I realized that I was being ridiculous, though. Before being sleeved I would lose & regain the same 30 lbs over & over again. Here I am 6 months out & down 101 lbs & still moving in the right direction. Yes, some people are losing more quickly than I am, but some are losing more slowly. I have learned the healthiest thing is not to compare myself to others. Everyone's journey, even though we're all sleeved, is very unique. I have decided to just do what I need to do to stick to my eating & exercise plan. I will never again say, "I've ONLY lost X amount of weight" again. Whether people consider me a slow loser or a fast loser makes no difference to me. All that matters to me is that I am a loser. Congrats, DeeDee Muffin! that is an amazing (and quick! lol) accomplishment! If you look at tickers, I think you will see that you are definitely above average with your rate of loss. And I do think it is smart not to compare ourselves with others!
Michelle_Johnson1977 2 Posted January 5, 2014 I am happy i found this thread. I am going to try this. I haven't lost anything in a while and am slowly gaining. Going to try upping my Protein again ( I know I have slacked with it) and my water! Thanks. 1 Danni-doinit4me reacted to this

shellbell1007 29 Posted February 24, 2014 So glad I found this group. I am 4 1/2 months out and so far I've lost 76 pounds which I'm really happy about. The last few weeks have been a stall though and its been frustrating because I know I'm eating right and I exercise constantly. But I do think I'm not getting enough fluids or Protein so what everyone is saying totally makes sense! !! Gonna start with mega fluids/protein tomorrow and then weigh myself in a week to see if there's any results. Fingers crossed. I'd like to lose 35 more pounds to hit my goal!!!! shellbell1007 29 Posted February 25, 2014 Hey guys. Just thought I'd let everyone know that I found this 100% whey Protein Powder that is unflavored. 1 scoop is 24g of Protein and you can mix it into cold beverages or food. I mixed it into my Greek yogurt tonight and it was great. So its 24g and the 12g in the yogurt gave me a whopping 36g right there. Just an idea for everyone having trouble getting the protein in with food alone like me.
