I AM 82 LBS DOWN AND STILL LOOK THE SAME

Recommended Posts

This is ssssoooo me! I gained a lot of weight and still fit in the same size' date=' so I know that once I lose weight that I should not go by my clothing size because it will discourage me.[/quote']

You may find yourself surprised. I, too, hadn't gone up a size in at least the last 60 pounds of my weight gain, but I went down a size (tops AND pants) at about 30 pounds lost. Curious about the disparity myself, I've concluded that as I got bigger, the clothes got that much baggier to hide the mass. Once it starts coming off, you want to be able to look in the mirror - and have other people look at you - and SEE it. So, my clothes are more fitted to my body now.

So is anyone else a little jealous of her weight loss in 5 WEEKS?!?!?! I'm praying for 50 lbs in 5 weeks, lol... As of Friday last week, since surgery, I'd lost only 15 lbs... 27 overall with the pre-op diet... I weighed the same as you the day of surgery.... I'm not happy I'm such a slow loser... What are you doing to drop so well? I'm 3 weeks post-op today

Well i am working out about 4 times a week not including twice a day on the weekends. I really am trying so hard to tighten and tone my body as much as possible. and i am training for the la marathon in march. I just try to keep my body moving really.

Well after posting this topic yesterday, i went home and began giving my 4 yr old daughter a bath when suddenly she looked at me and said," Mommy, Youre little!" lol. I was soooo surprised and super excited at the same time. I know i cant look the same if my 4 yr old noticed. :D

You are actually normal in your weight loss surgery. this is the average that I have seen, read about, and experienced myself....You are doing great so keep it up. Remember, you are not a slow loser........ :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
