You are probably eating to fast , I was sleeved Nov 13 , 2012 , and this still happens to me anytime I eat to fast .

Are you measuring out your food to make sure you don't over eat? Right now it's still hard for your tiny tummy to let you know you are full and one bite to many can push you over the edge. Like others have said... Chew well, and eat slowly. And also measure out just enough for me at 7 weeks. I could only do 2 ounces at a time. Best wishes!!!

I was sleeved on 12/26/12 with hiatal hernia repair. I was on protonix and then after the surgery no one told me to restart it. I started to have some nausea and epigastric pain so I restarted it. Feeling much better. no nausea since restarting it and tolerating most foods with no problems.

I'm a couple days shy of 7 weeks also and I noticed I'm not tolerating things that I could tolerate at weeks 3-4 even. A couple times I did catch myself eating too fast but not every time. I'm still only able to eat 1/4 cup absolute maximum or I can't keep it down.

I'm sorry you are getting this! I'm just glad I'm not the only one!!!!!

I'm new so I don't know much about anything, but I was vomiting so much 2 weeks after surgery that my doc sent me to have an endoscopy procedure. Apparently I was having something called "stricture" or scarring which required doc to insert a balloon into my esophagus in order to inflate the opening a bit to allow food to go in.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
