Stall may mean Vitamin D deficient hmm...

I also had/have low Vitamin D levels. They checked that before surgery and started me on 50,000 units twice a week for 3 months. I'm about 2 months into taking them, and will have labs drawn this week. I had been taking 1000 iu daily for the last year...guess that wasn't enough. I didn't realize it impacted wieght loss, but that would explain a lot, lol!

Are you taking a standard dosage? How long did it take for you to feel benefits?

Delta, it took about 2 1/2-3 weeks to literally notice it. I was walking around the mall and thought, "I feel good today." So it had literally snuck up on me. Just like the gradual change in feeling bad did.

I take about 2,000 a day now. Initially, the drs had high doses for me for a couple of weeks to get it in the normal range. At thebeginning of January was when it finally was in the normal range, so it's all recent stuff. I never knew that vit d could throw your entire body out of whack. Lol

I'm just hoping this is the reason for no movement in my weight loss...to make matters worse, I gained 4 lbs! It is so frustrating.
