I'm 4 days post op and have severe pain on my stomach, chest, and back. Any suggestions to ease the pain? On another note, I'm 4 lbs down!

I haven't had the surgery yet but I was told by the nurse that the gasses they put into you can cause pain in your chest and such. Have you been walking around regularly? I was told that walking will get all the excess gasses out and alleviate that pain. GasX was also suggested but she said walking would clear up most of it.

Otherwise, my suggestion would be to call the number they give you to let them know.

Take some gas-x, walk as much as you can, try a heating pad, and roll your shoulders back and forth, squeeze your shoulder blades together for a few seconds and release, gently rub circles on your belly to help move it around, and stretch as much as is comfortable. It gets better so don't let it get to ya.

Tried both, walking and gas x strips. I won't walk no more than 7 minutes. I think I need to increase my time. Thank you!
