I just cried ( melt down )

I have been there, too. Sometimes the emotional part is the hardest. I was sleeved 12/20 and on Clear Liquids at Christmas. That was pretty rough and a bowl of homemade Chex Mix caused my tears. I keep reading that it does get better so I just keep that in mind. It does get better!

I was sleeved on 1-22-13 & I have been struggling to get in all of the Water & Protein my doc wants me to have. I've been drinking Isopure, from GNC. One 20 oz bottle has 40 g of protein & can double as your water. It tastes sort of like Gatoraide. I drink 1 & 1/2 throughout the day.

Major surgery am the most depressing time of they ear. Broke from Xmas, bills coming in, crappy weather in the month of jan. I've had my share of breakdowns. Praying for January to end and look toward to a new month with a new attitude, goals and tribulations. I am 7 weeks out and doin better now but still can't wait for January to end!

Yes he's very supportive..it's been hard today well not most of the day I lost 16 pounds since surgery that makes it worth it thank you everyone I needed that

I was sleeved the same day and have only lost 4.5lbs. What does your typical day look like as far as liquids and Protein go?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
