sleever10 109 Posted January 27, 2013 Only four days after my surgery my surgeon's team had me begin exercising. I still didn't feel so great so I waited until the fifth day and did 15 minutes on the treadmill at 2.5mph. Nothing strenuous (obviously!) but it made me feel a lot better. I am a little over five weeks out and up to 30 minutes at 3.0mph four times a week. Still nothing strenuous, but am slowly increasing speed/duration. Hope you feel better very soon! tinawstpnt 6 Posted January 27, 2013 The gas was horrible for me. It lasted about a week for me. When I felt it I would walk and it helped me out as far as moving it along. It will get better. Im two months out. I dont regret doing this for one minute!

Im two months out. I dont regret doing this for one minute! I have become a walking maniac! Lol. I just sent my husband to buy me some gas x strips. Hopefully they help. I'll take anything at this point! like you, I don't regret it either. I can already tell I'm shedding inches even though the scale says otherwise (I'm still swollen). Thanks for the motivational words!

juny 93 Posted January 27, 2013 So have any of you got a second floor you're living on? I'm looking at post op and hoping I can go back upstairs to my room when I get back from the hospital, but if I have to walk a lot and stairs are difficult I may have to sleep downstairs. Losing weight 126 Posted January 27, 2013 Hey guys! I need some motivation' date=' encouragement, and/or tips. I had my surgery this past Thursday so I'm 3 days post op. I'm having horrible stomach pains and my back is starting to hurt. I don't know if my stomach pains are coming from my swollen stomach, the incisions, or trapped gas. Anyone been through the same road and willing to offer some advice? I'm taking my liquid pain meds but nothing seems to work. :/[/quote'] I am very positive it's gas I had the same issue the only think I can recommend is walk walk walk and you will be fine

My surgeon told me if I didn't feel good walking a lot to go up and down the stairs, extremely helpful with gas! Slow of course but felt good right after surgery, also keeps the legs moving so less risk of blood clots.
