Update! I lost 97 lbs and I feel Great! Before and After

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I know I have not been on here in a while but I just wanted to give and update on my progress. Word of encouragement, hang in there. I've been sleeved over a year and I'm still losing weight. I was stuck at 170 for over 6 months and I honestly thought that was it but finally the stall broke. I'm very happy and now I'm living my life again. I have taken back everything that the Devil stole from me. I'm walking in victory.

Word of encouragement, hang in there. been sleeved over a year - still losing weight. stall broke. very happy living my life again. taken back everything that the Devil stole from me. I'm walking in victory.

100%Sleeved

what a well written update :)

hearing good words, comments you've made are great for NEWBIEs- (everyone else too)

explaining that stalls DO happen to all, but you/they will leave (the stalls)and continue to lose weight

as you inferred - your continueing your longer, healthier life ' "Walking in Victory"

how wonderful is that!!!! :)

and, yes - you look beautiful!!!!

hope you come to the board more often with your insight

take care

coninued good luck and happiness :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
