soccergirl88 56 Posted January 26, 2013 So I'm 2 weeks post op and for the last few days I've been having this weird pain on and off. It's on my left side near one of my incisions, it isn't so bad where I'm rolling around in pain but it can get uncomfortable. The best way to describe it would be a sharp stabbing/pulling sensation and it only seems to happen if I'm laying down and want to turn over or if I'm trying get out of bed. I have a pretty high pain tolerance which is why i haven't called my surgeon. Has anyone experienced something like this?
vonnegutk 9 Posted January 26, 2013 I am 4 days out. Actually more discomfort than I anticipated. Definitely, call you doctor.
TheGamer 406 Posted January 26, 2013 It's the internal stitching, most likely. Mine got so bad at one point that I went back to my pain meds for a day and took a nice, long nap. A good six to eight hours later, it was fine. Unless your pain is accompanied by any other symptoms that would indicate infection or other serious issue, it's probably just the healing process. JuliannaJ 83 Posted January 26, 2013 It also could be part of the healing process I was told...namely cut nerves and tissue and such that do regenerate. I had the same experience last night and it was not directly at the incision site so I assumed this is what it was...it is gone today
