No I did loose 125 in 7 weeks. the 125 comes from my pre op loss plus my post op loss.

this is about 50 pre op and the rest post op.

still it has been fairly fast' date=' I was 511LBS on sept 1 of last year[/quote']

That's still impressive.

Hi' date='

I started out at 511LBS and I am 7 weeks out from surgery.

I have had 1 doctor refuse to operate on me, but I found a doctor that would.

I had to lose at least 40LBS to 50LBS before surgery. This sounds impossible

when you first hear that you have to lose that weight on your own.

But for some reason it worked for me this time, I think the reason I was able

to lose the initial weight was I had a surgery date and I didn’t have time to

fool around. Surgery went very easy for me, the hardest part is getting in

all your Water and Protein that I need. So far I lost 125LBS and don’t miss food at

all. Good Luck and keep fighting your worth it.[/quote']

Wow! Way to go! You are doing amazing :) So glad you didn't give up after the first doctor.

Great news! I only have to be under 500 :) My appointments start Thursday (medical exam, psychologist, exercise expert, and a nutritionist) but I will find out at my one month follow up scheduled for Feb 26th if I am all good for surgery, and thats when I should meet with a surgeon to set a date! Although I will not know for a month whether or not I am cleared, it still feels so quick!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
