pattiriciat 0 Posted November 8, 2006 My name is Pattiriciat and i am going to get the lapband as well I am scared yet excited all at the same time. I have very little support and I am afraid i wont be able to, lets say deal with the changes that I will have to do. I am working at a new job after not working for 3 years and my starting weight was 262 now after only 4 weeks I have lost 10 lbs already. I stopped eating at resturaunts daily and i eat more regularly. However I feel the change I am going to have the most problem with is the no drinking with my food Thats going to be hard Can anyone give my any advice on how to do this without feeling um, sick. thanks pattiriciat:nervous Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
juliegeraci 7 Posted November 9, 2006 Hi There, I drink a little with meals but I'm really careful to slip slowly. Most of the time, I try to drink beforehad though. I've been lucky. I don't burp anything up since I sip just a bit at a time. Don't be nervous about the surgery. Its worth it. Its the first time in my life I've ever lost 25 lbs without dieting. Its well worth it! ladydi 0 Posted November 10, 2006 Pattiriciat, I thought the drinking of Water was going to be a problem for me too. Thats how i would get my water down before. I thought if I couldn't drink with my food I would have a hard time to drink. I bought a drinking cup that holds 16 oz, and I drink Propel grape. I have no problem drinking all of my water for the grape taste great! Once in a while I try to grab for the water just out of habbit, but really its not bad. I also use to drink sodas, I dont even miss them. It's weard, but your body just changes. Don't worry about the changes. I still feel the same as I did before.
