LovinMe2013 21 Posted January 26, 2013 I'm 4 days post op & I can feel the gas bubbling around all day long. When the gas finally gets to where I can pass it, sometimes it's a little messy :-( Is that normal this early out because of the liquid diet? Should I still have that much gas from surgery? All I have is Water, Isopure, chic broth & my meds. Also, am I giving myself gas by drinking out of the bottle? I can't stand to drink from those medicine cups any more? Please tell me if this is normal....cause it is extremely embarrassing!!!!

LovinMe2013 21 Posted January 26, 2013 Thank you. Glad to know I'm not alone. Are you drinking from the bottles?
MOMW 71 Posted January 26, 2013 What you are experiencing is totaly normal. You are still getting rid of the gas from surgery. Your stomach and such are still recovering and adjusting too. Walking will help to get things settled. The bottle may be a small culprit. I would suggest trying a glass. I do better with that for most things. Just keep the faith. Everyday is one step closer to the new you.
ssones 1 Posted January 26, 2013 Thank you. Glad to know I'm not alone. Are you drinking from the bottles? I am not drinking from bottles. I have been using glasses. Even my Protein shakes I dump into a blender and add a banana or sugar free Syrup and then pore into a glass. I think it really just is the air and gas they pumped into our stomachs working its way out.
