Have any of you noticed a difference in weather or not you snore? If you ever did that is.

My fiancé has been snoring more than usual and it is driving me insane. I have enough insomnia from being pregnant but I want to smother him! Hoping weight is a factor.

I snored alot when I was 370lbs. I have lost down to 255 and I no longer snore. If I could only get my wife to stop snoring....

I didnt snore before because I already had sleep apnea and used a CPAP. Unfortunately he would not allow me to use the first night of surgery so I didnt sleep a wink even with the pain meds. Since the surgery and dropping another 40 lbs I have been able to trade out my old high pressure CPAP for a new automatically adjusting unit which only provides the pressure you need. Before pressure was 11 current pressure is 4!! Big improvement. My hope is when I get to goal weight I will be off entirely.

I bet you will be, even before goal weight! Stopped using my cpap shortly after surgery along with bp meds (had hypertension with bp at 154 / 105...bad). In the last couple months my bp has been 100/70, which has never ever happened before in my life, even when I was at lighter weights. The surgery is so great to eliminate the need for meds!

After using my bi-bap machine for the last four months I've been curious about this. I woke up 79 times an hour during my sleep study and must say that I absolutely LOVE sleeping again!! If the Dr. says I no longer need to use it I think I might still want to. My wife thinks I'm the only guy that likes using my machine, do you guys enjoy wearing the machine???

I enjoy that I don't snore anymore and that I get a great night's sleep. I was just sleeved on Monday, and I'm in no big hurry to lose my cpap.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
