Butterthebean 8,146 Posted January 26, 2013 I can no longer shop at my beloved Casual Male. I've shopped there for so many years, I don't know where to go now. The choices are overwhelming. I looked around a few big name department stores, but those clothes seemed like they were mostly for teenagers. Where does a skinny 40 something go?
JSoc 9 Posted January 26, 2013 I shop at Dillard's.
Tstorm1070 192 Posted January 26, 2013 My husband is naturally skinny and is 45. I shop for him at Kohls dept store. Other stores that are decent are JcPennys, and Farm amd Fleet (I dont know if you have any of those stores)
castiel 66 Posted January 26, 2013 Khol's, JC Penny, Belk, Macy's. You could even try out Ross or T.J. Maxx. My father is 45 and shops at Old Navy for their jeans. And sometimes they have good shirts too.

cookie2012 44 Posted January 26, 2013 Myers, David Jones, Roger David, depends on your style. Head to a Westfield and take your pick but I would go somewhere that has a bit of customer service.
JeffA70 200 Posted January 26, 2013 I have vowed to never again walk into a Casual Male. I think Kohls is a good choice, from what I've seen walking around d one with my wife, although I need tall lengths, so they may be limited. JC Penney has tall sizes, so that probably will be OK for me. I like Lands' End for catalog shopping. NSV... was in Walmart the other day buying something else, and walked by the jeans. I wondered, 'Well, I'm down a bit... Let's see.' And I found a pair that fit well!!!! There was only one pair of 46-32, but I bought them! First time buying pants in a regular department store since like 2004ish!

If it makes you feel better, my dad lost 100 pounds in the last two years and is in the best shape of his life! He runs 5ks, lifts weights, and bikes. He even quit smoking. I hope to join him in all his athletic endeavors :] So just think, even past 45 it's not always too late to change your life and your health. 1 Butterthebean reacted to this
Speedbump 38 Posted January 27, 2013 In Baton Rouge we have the Dillards Clearance center. I had the need for 3 days worth of buisiness casual clothes last week so I went in there. I got 2 pair of 42/32 slacks and 3 16 1/2 long sleve dress shirts for $68. By far the most fun I have had in a department store in the last 20 years, 2 Butterthebean and JeffA70 reacted to this

Speedbump 38 Posted January 28, 2013 Also like Bass Pro - easy in & out with dressing rooms right in the middle of the clothing section. Most of the time I have been shopping in my closet from the last time I lost a lot of weight many years ago. So long ago, old navy still had heavy denim jeans... It so much more fun in the regular fellow section.
vs24 25 Posted January 28, 2013 Butterthebean, funny question. The answer is "anywhere else". I've been up and down over the years and always enjoy those times where I did not have to pay the premium that Casual Male charges. 1 Butterthebean reacted to this
